Salish Lodge and Spa Getaway

I spent a weekend at the Salish Lodge and Spa in the beautiful Snoqualmie, Washington. I enjoyed the dining, the spa amenities, and lodge perks. My experience was a definite memorable one. I can't wait to come back and stay again.

The lodge has a super cool perk: Club 268- an elevated luxury experience! I opted in for the experience during my stay. My room came with a chocolate truffles, a tumbler, and spa products: body scrub, whipped body butter, and essential oil aromatherapy. The room was also located on the same floor as the spa for close access! As a member, you are granted access to the spa soaking pool AND sauna. The Club 268 membership experience also included exclusive benefits in the lobby-level lounge! The room included a beautiful seating area with a fireplace. Throughout the day, the hideout served light continental breakfast and all-day snacks.

While at the spa, I had my very first facial, massage and experienced using the sauna and soaking pool. The spa staff was very welcoming and ensured I was comfortable. The facial was magnificent and extremely nourishing. I added on the Firming Eye Treatment. (The Raspberry Exfoliant reduces the appearance of wrinkles and the Raspberry Eye Masque increases the appearance of elasticity and smoothness around the eyes.) Afterwards, my face had a brighter appearance and felt soft and dewy.

The full-body massage I received was super relaxing! I had her apply a bit more pressure since I felt tight in a few areas of my body. I chose the eucalyptus aromatherapy to use during the experience. The lodge has made this one of my favorite scents after I tried the shower spray provided in the room shower.

The food and drinks from the restaurant were beyond tasty and filling. I honestly could have shared a plate with someone for dinner because I was so full. But leftovers always seem to be the best decision.

*Fun fact: Salish Lodge and Spa uses honey from their own hives and adds them into a large portion of the meals and drinks.

For breakfast, I kicked off with their drink, Breakfast in Bed. It included: Bailey’s, rum, maple syrup, and bacon. It was a yummy start and the bacon had a good crunch.

The waiter brought out their buttermilk biscuits and did their fancy honey drip with his arm extended above his head. It was a fun experience and I learned about the history of the honey at the lodge.

I tried two dishes for my breakfast meal, both the Pork Belly and Potato Hash and Chicken & Funnel Cake. The Pork Belly and Potato Hash included kimchi, sautéed spinach, fried eggs, and togarashi. The kimchi was the perfect add to compliment the pork.

The Chicken & Funnel Cake came with buttermilk fried chicken, Salish honey funnel cake, arugula and shaved fennel salad, and topped with maple syrup. I am not a huge fan of dark meat so I requested chicken breast. I also asked for a side of honeycomb crumble and the vanilla-blueberry compote - this is typically paired with their Spiced Honey French Toast.

My breakfast in one word: AMAZING.

Before ordering dinner, I started with a fun drink - Pear Vanilla Margarita. This was a drink mix I had never experienced before. The pear flavoring was delicious and the aftertaste brought out the vanilla. I have considered buying the ingredients myself and trying to replicate it at home.

For the dinner appetizer, I tried their Manila Clams and Dungeness Crab Bisque. The broth paired with the clams left me speechless. The broth took away from the stronger fishy taste and gave it a more savory experience. After finishing the clams, I enjoyed eating the soaked bread I dipped into the broth. I would drive an hour back to the lodge simply for their clam broth.

My entree included the 7oz. 24-day Angus Filet Mignon with their Northwest Grits & Cheese Curds. (My tastebuds are going crazy as I even type the words out!) I ordered my steak medium rare - I love cutting into a red, juicy steak. This filet had just the right amount of flavor and showcased that the kitchen definitely knows how to use their seasonings. The grits were topped with corn and cheese curds. The grits were very moist and the cheese curds leveled it up.

On the day of check-out, take home purchases were immediately made. I received the custom stitched fluffy robe, eucalyptus shower spray, and the Hibiscus Eye Lift Cream.

I highly recommend for anyone visiting Washington. The Salish Lodge is a smaller resort experience but makes you feel right at home in the span of a few minutes. Hopefully I will be back to visit in early 2022.
